Yes, I knitted a redback spider for my Mum. Pattern from Hansigurumi. It tooks me ages! And with a baby to care for some days I only managed half a dozen stitches! Redback's are an aussie spider that hang out in sheds and garages and under rocks and lips of buckets and little nooks and crannies outside. I have never seen one inside anyway. Redbacks are considered one of the most dangerous spiders in Australia. And thankfully... thankfully... they don't get this big!!
One project finished! My next project I think will be a mini art quilt taken from a little doodle I did on this page:
Which is how I come up with a lot of my ideas. Just doodling on scraps of paper. People often ask me how I come up with ideas. So now you know one way! I really do wish I was more organised and did them all in a place that keeps them all neat & tidy such as a sketch book, but hey, I'm just not that practical.
My new mantra at the moment is "one project at a time". It's hard to find time with bubs so I just want to plod away with each project from start to finish. I am happy that I knitted the spider from start to finish. You get a great sense of satisfaction from a project completed. Maybe I shall show progress shots of my next project?
Steve's & I visited the lovely Sal & Rub's yesterday in her lovely house in the bush and ate yummy cakes. (I am craving that cakey one with the purple centre today Sal.) Yes, we both ate cake coz I ate it and then it ended up in my milk so Stevie had some too! Haha! Check out some photos here :) Sal reckons we should get them best friends forever snap in half pendants. Oh yeah baby...
